What a great night it was on January 3rd 2026 - Two top radio personalities - DJ Brett Steven & DJ Ali played all the disco, soul, rhythm, boogie, soulful house, reggae, groove and jazz-funk oldies mainly from the 70's & 80's including some modern re-mixes and different arrangements with the same up-beat funky dance vibes. The dancefloor was full all night.
This event was a party to celebrate the end of Xmas 2025 and the beginning of a New Year. Reliving the old times all night long with old friends and new. An event which is always just as popular with over 21's as our local oldtimer crews! Next one will be in Springtime 2026.

We all need a place to relax after work, or at the weekend, so why not do it with a drink in your hand? Join us for 'Early Doors' every weekday from 4pm.
We have a beautiful Beer Garden at the back, with plenty of seating. There is a giant sturdy parasol on the patio. In the winter we have some warm blankets if it's very cold, and heaters. There's further extensive seating on the grassed area with picnic benches.
Fridays have always been popular - starting around 5pm after work, with the Champers Garden filling up early, to catch the last of the evening sunshine on the patio, with everyone celebrating the end of the working week together. (It's a good place to be sheltered from the rain, and it's also cosy in the winter months).

CHAMPERS weekly Spot Prize Karaoke is now on a Sunday and a Wednesday with an early start of 7.30pm and a finish at 11pm on Wednesdays and 12am on Sundays - this means there is 4 1/2 hours of singing time on a Sunday & 3 1/2 on a Wednesday - making a total of 8 hours singing time a week!!!!
We have newbies that are made to feel very welcome, and a strong, regular, local contingent of amazing singers who make a good night of entertainment for those who don't sing at all. Karaoke is really for those wanting to have a go, some may never have sung before, and it's a chance to express yourself, feel encouraged and comfortable, and gain confidence, whilst having an enjoyable and fun night out with friends.
When there's a Bank Holiday weekend, Karaoke will usually be on the Bank Holiday Monday.
